Decision Audits: clarity before the decision is made

Many bad decisions come about not because options are assessed wrongly, but because it is unclear what actually needs to be decided.

This is exactly where Decision Audits come in. They do not analyze solutions or measures, but the architecture of decisions: assumptions, power relations, timelines, and unintended side decisions that are often at work in the background.

A Decision Audit creates clarity before decisions become expensive, political, or irreversible. It cleanly separates decision, preparation, and implementation, and makes implicit assumptions explicit. The aim is not consulting in the sense of recommendations, but orientation: Which questions need to be answered? What is ready for a decision—and what is not yet?

This service is aimed at decision-makers, leaders, executive boards, and owners who are facing strategic, structural, or high-risk decisions. Especially when uncertainty is high, different interests are at play, or the consequences of a decision reach far beyond the moment.

Decision Audits are deliberately focused and limited in time. They do not deliver more options, but the ability to decide: a clear decision map, prioritized points to clarify, and a realistic picture of the consequences. Afterward, it is clear where you stand—and on which level the work should continue.

If you are facing a weighty decision and sense that not everything is clear yet, a closer look is worthwhile. You can find more about Decision Audits here:
